Working Pattern: Full Time (9am-5pm)

Responsibilities:

As an Administration Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing clerical and administrative support to the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining filing systems and responding to requests from other council departments
  • Setting up new accounts and managing direct debits
  • Raising invoices, credit, and debit memos
  • Processing refunds and handling customer queries
  • Assisting with the collection of outstanding invoices
  • Updating computer records and liaising with relevant departments
  • Attending meetings to receive and share information
  • Identifying opportunities to improve procedures and systems

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to organise, plan, and prioritise workload
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience in customer service or contact with the public
  • Knowledge of training methods to provide on-the-job training to team members

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Familiarity with sundry debt processes and systems
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role
