Installation/Commissioning Engineer  - The Role:
- Installing and commissioning new equipment at client sites, ensuring all machinery is fully operational and meets performance expectations
- Troubleshooting electrical systems, including PLCs (Mitsubishi FX5), to identify and resolve issues
- Replacing parts and upgrading systems as necessary, providing long-term reliability
- Collaborating with clients to offer technical support and recommend improvements for enhanced system performance
- Training client staff in equipment operation, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
- Managing your own schedule to efficiently meet the needs of clients across the UK, with some overnight stays required
- Completing detailed service reports to document tasks, issues, and resolutions
- Occasional on-site servicing of machines
Installation/Commissioning Engineer  - The Person:
- Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in electrical engineering with a good knowledge of automation and controls
- Experience in PLCs (Ideally Mitsubishi), including modifications and fault-finding
- Previous experience in industries such as FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing is essential
- Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to travel across the UK and internationally when required
- Full clean driving licence
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
Based in Lancashire/Greater Manchester, this role is commute from Rochdale, Bolton, Leigh, Oldham, Wigan and Haslingden
