Installation Engineer required for a successful and growing packaging machinery manufacturer. This is an ideal role for an engineer looking for a position with a mix of workshop tasks in Bolton and in service at client sites.
Candidates will be electrically biased with experience on PLC’s. The role will involve work shop based tasks on average 2 or 3 days a week and the rest will be service at client sites in the UK or internationally. International trips will be on average 1 trip every couple of months for up to a week at a time.
The varied role involves installation, set up and commissioning of machines along with service and repair. You will also provide training and guidance to customers when needed.

The Installation Engineer role in brief:
• Installation, set up and commissioning of machines.
• Service and breakdown.
• Field based 3 days a week on average and in the workshop 2 days a week on average.
• International travel on average 1 trip every couple of months for up to a week at a time.
The Installation Engineer Required:
• Electrically biased also with mechanical service/repair skills
• Ideally worked on packaging / transferrable manufacturing equipment
• Excellent customer facing and communication skills for client facing interaction and training
· Will ideally have an electrical apprenticeship and / or relevant qualification
