We are working with a successful and established Property business who have recently completed a New Build development of high quality apartments specifically for private rent, alongside some commercial units.
With residents due to occupy the apartments shortly, they are looking to recruit a Caretaker/Maintenance Operative to join them on a permanent basis, being permanently based at the apartment development.
You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and maintenance of the complex at all times.
Other duties will include:
- This includes liaison with maintenance and estates colleagues, litter picks, paintwork touches, general handy person minor maintenance activities.
- Performing routine inspections of the building to identify potential issues.
- Responding to maintenance requests and emergencies within the building.
- To liaise with any contractors on site engaged in works and arranging access including Facilities Management servicing.
- Adhering to safety procedures and regulations when performing maintenance tasks.
- To ensure the highest levels of health and safety compliance of the building and communal areas.
- Maintain all fire safety equipment, ensuring regular inspections and servicing.
- Weekly testing of fire alarms and drop tests for emergency lighting.
- Accurate maintenance of records for the building safety report.
- Refuge management
- Ensuring the environment is continuously clean, safe and well presented.
The salary is between £27-30k plus package (27 days holiday plus banks, 4% pension, bupa healthcare and more).
