PAY RATE: £13.50 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bolton.

Rates of Pay:

• Basic: £13.50 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Delivering timber and wooden parts (working on curtain-side) up to eight drops per day
• Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly and you must know how to use ratchet straps
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo if needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
• Have a minimum of six months experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• Experience using ratchet straps

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience conducting multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
