Job Summary: 

As the Site IT Lead, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our Bolton site’s IT infrastructure and applications. Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, with a dotted line to the European Head of IT Operations, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our IT capabilities. You will manage the IT team, ensure adherence to IT security standards, and provide hands-on support and guidance to all users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site IT Management: Oversee all IT activities and setups for the Bolton site, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, support, coach, and lead the IT specialist reporting to you, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • IT Security: Enforce IT-related rules and standards with a dedicated focus on IT security concerning local applications, hardware, and server rooms.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on preventive, curative, and maintenance actions. Deliver first, second, and third-level support to users, and offer training and advice on compliance and computer management.
  • Daily Operations: Conduct daily IT operations and technical deployment actions at the site, ensuring seamless IT functionality.
  • User Support: Handle user requests from receipt to resolution, ensuring timely repairs and assistance.
  • Data Security: Ensure data integrity, reliability, and availability at the location.
  • Business Partnership: Maintain close contact with business stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs.
  • Asset Management: Manage local IT assets and coordinate centrally driven asset projects as needed.
  • External Collaboration: Secure external support, contract services, and follow up on activities as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with local and regional management to align IT initiatives with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in IT infrastructure and systems maintenance; industry experience, ideally in automotive, is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Collaborative and open-minded approach to developing and implementing new projects and concepts.
