The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and ready to deliver high-quality work from day one. This role requires a professional who is a team player, dedicated to working exclusively with our organisation, and capable of managing a full caseload independently.Day to Day of the Role:- Responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests.- Handling subject access requests in compliance with data protection laws.- Conducting internal reviews related to information governance.- Advising on information sharing agreements and their implications.- Assessing and advising on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for various services.- Providing expert advice to council officers on a range of information governance (IG) issues.- Managing cases involving breaches of data protection within the council.Required Skills & Qualifications:- Ability to respond effectively to FOIA, EIR, and subject access requests.- Experience conducting internal reviews and advising on information sharing agreements.- Knowledgeable in assessing and advising on DPIAs.- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.- Strong team player with a sensible approach to workload management.- Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running with a full caseload.
