The Internal Account Manager position involves providing excellent customer service and account management within the transport and distribution industry. We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Internal Account Manager within the transport distribution industry in Bolton. The successful candidate will have a natural ability to build lasting relationships and a strong understanding of client management processes.

Description

Key responsibilities will consist of:

  • Manage and nurture client relationships for sustained business growth.
  • Implement strategies to retain and expand the customer base.
  • Contribute to any contractual negotiations and/or re-negotiations for defined customer portfolio and produce any related contractual documents as required.
  • Regularly review customer feedback to identify areas of improvement.
  • Uphold the company's brand image and values in all interactions.
  • Coordinate the delivery of agreed targets within the agreed budget to meet the wider requirements of the business for the defined customer portfolio.
  • Ensure contractually agreed service standards are provided to individual customers and, where necessary, liaise with the operations and other functional areas.
  • Understand and work within the policy standards of individual customers to ensure service provisions/requirements are fulfilled.
  • Manage and maintain client accounts ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with the transport and distribution teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle client queries and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the sales team to reach targets
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Profile

A successful Internal Account Manager should have:

  • A background in Customer Service within the Transport & Distribution industry
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven skills in account management and customer service
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and practices
  • Proven ability to communicate and demonstrate pitching ability.
