About The Role:

The company are now looking to recruit a MET Technician to join their busy team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following criteria.

Vehicle Body Building:

  • Constructing a range of commercial vehicle bodies i.e Luton, Tippers and Dropsides as per drawings and specifications provided to Type Approval Standards
  • Measuring and cutting materials to the correct specifications
  • Fitting, assembling and commissioning components, as required, to specification or drawings
  • Experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, pistol drills, riveters and MIG welder experience desired
  • To work unsupervised and within a team with a "can-do" attitude
  • Maintain the high-quality products that the company produce
  • Work to production deadlines
  • Adhering to and aim to improve health and safety policies and procedures
  • A good time keeping and attendance record is essential
  • Excellent pay rates for the right candidate
  • To hold a full Driving licence

Tig / Mig Welding:

  • To be competent in working with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel on both vehicle and bespoke projects. Jobs ranging from the manufacture of tipper bodies, flat bed bodies, cages, tool boxes, railings, fences stair cases
  • and much more
  • Experience in the use of hand tools, pistol drills, riveters, MIG welders, and Oxy - Acetylene torches
  • To be able to fabricate the assembly with high quality welds
  • To work unsupervised and within a team with a "can-do" attitude
  • Maintain the high-quality products that the company produce
  • Work to production deadlines
  • Adhering to and aim to improve health and safety policies and procedures

Auto Electrical:

  • Experience of wiring a range of components such as tow bars, camera's, sensors, lighting, winches, tail lifts etc. is essential
  • Must be a good all-rounder as may be needed to fulfil other job roles with the company
  • A good attendance & time keeping record is essential
  • To work individually and within a team with a "can-do" attitude
  • Maintain the high-quality products that the company produce
  • Work to production deadlines
  • Adhering to and aim to improve health and safety policies and procedures
