CNC Machinist/Toolmaker - Roles & Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC machines using Heidenhain controls to produce high-quality products, as per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Design, manufacture, and maintain custom tools, jigs, fixtures, and moulds.
  • Optimise machine performance, improve cycle times, and maintain tight tolerances.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling to ensure they operate efficiently.
  • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to understand project requirements, provide technical insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

CNC Machinist/Toolmaker - Skills & Experience

  • Strong background as CNC Machinist/Tool Maker, with significant experience using Heidenhain controls.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Exceptional precision and a meticulous approach to work, ensuring all products meet quality standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machining processes, tooling, and programming.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
