Domestic Assistant (Cleaner)

Primary Purpose of the Job:We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team in the Adult & Community Services department. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the general cleanliness and high standards of hygiene are maintained throughout the premises. Additionally, the Domestic Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that bedding, residents' personal clothing, and staff uniforms are clean and freshly laundered.

Main Duties:As a Domestic Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• General Cleaning Duties: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks throughout the building, including vacuuming, polishing furniture, cleaning floors, and maintaining the cleanliness of toilets and bathrooms.
• Laundry Duties: Manage laundry tasks such as washing, drying, ironing, and distributing clothing, bedding, and staff uniforms.
• Bed Making: Ensure that beds are made and maintained to a high standard.
• Equipment Operation: Operate cleaning and laundry equipment in a safe and competent manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
