Psych Grad - Teaching Assistant - Bolton:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a recent Psychology graduate to join our team as a SEN teaching assistant at an excellent primary school in Bolton.

The Role:

You will be required to provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN, fostering a nurtering and inclusive environment. You will be collaborating with SENDCOs and teachers to implement individualised education plans.

You will be able to utilise your psychological expertise to understand and address the unique learning styles and emotional needs of each student.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Bolton
  • Role: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 8:45am-3:15pm
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Type of work: temporary
  • Minimum rate of pay: £90
  • Full time/part time: Full time only

Responsibilities:

  • Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • Experience of supporting pupils
  • The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
  • The ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor

Role Requirements:

  • DBS (clean and relevant) - Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching
  • Safeguarding certificate
  • A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in primary schools.
  • Good knowledge of different forms of SEN.
