Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in design, installation, maintenance, and fault resolution. The successful candidate will work within a niche industry, specialising in Concrete, Asphalt, and Aggregate Plants. The role involves ensuring plant operations run smoothly, minimising downtime, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.Responsibilities:Fault Finding and Maintenance:Diagnose and resolve faults in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and PLC systems.Minimise downtime by delivering rapid, effective fault resolution.Design and Installation:Design, build, and install control panels and plant systems.Attend sites for installations and ensure functionality is as per specifications.Quality Control and Supervision:Inspect and test electrical work completed by team members.Produce detailed reports and sign off on work to ensure compliance with industry standards.Customer Interaction and Team Liaison:Engage with customers to assess needs and provide quotes for work.Collaborate with mechanical engineers and allocate resources for plant installations.Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from site operatives to directors.Key Skills and Attributes:Strong fault-finding abilities in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in building and maintaining control panels.Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Professional communication skills and adaptability when dealing with various stakeholders.Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.Qualifications and Certifications:Electrical Engineering18th Edition Certification JIB Approved Electrician Card.Full UK driving licence.Experience Requirements:Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding.Background in plant design, installation, and commissioning.Education:Completion of an advanced-level apprenticeship.Secondary education qualifications.Desirable Attributes:Experience in the aggregate or quarrying industry is advantageous.Demonstrated ability to manage employee workloads and schedules.An appetite for learning and adapting to new challenges in the field.Work Environment:Travel to client sites is required.Hands-on role with involvement in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.Application:To express interest in this opportunity, please provide your CV and relevant certifications.
