A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Electronics Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Bolton, supporting across all stages of product assembly.

This role involves servicing Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). The work is varied, interesting, and challenging, offering exposure to routine calibrations, commissioning, drift analysis, fault finding, and repair of test equipment. You will collaborate with support functions and engineers to resolve both routine and non-routine tasks, contributing to the manufacturing function across all stages of assembly, integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibration and maintenance of test equipment and systems to component level.
  • Supporting complex test platforms used in the manufacture and testing of advanced systems.
  • Conducting measurements and repairs using instructions, handbooks, and specifications.
  • Mentoring junior staff when required.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

The successful candidate will have:

  • HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (minimum qualification).
  • Proven experience in test equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to the relevant audience.
  • Experience with SAP (desirable but not essential).
  • Familiarity with Environmental Chambers is an advantage.
