Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £41,000

Shift: Days (Mon-Fri)

Location: Westhoughton, Great Manchester

We are recruiting for an industrial manufacturer who have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join the business and lead a small team of maintenance Engineers.  The Succesful Senior Engineer should come from an industrial background and ideally be be multi skilled with either electrical or mechanical bias holding an engineering qualification. As a Senior Engineer your role will roughly be split 60% Management and 40% hands on, you will carry out PPM/reactive maintenance and attend to the equipment and machinery promptly, ensuring all actions and further requirements are comprehensively reported. You will proactively prevent equipment failures and enhance performance by implementing improvements, maintaining service levels to minimize downtime, and ensuring effective communication with relevant personnel.

Skills required for the Senior Engineer:

  • Have an engineering qualification.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Bias
  • Team Leader/Supervisor/Senior Engineering Experience. 
  • Industrial Background
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
