Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join one of our prestigious clients based in Bolton!

Youll be joining a Textile Manufacturing company which operate nationwide, supplying multiple industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Construction, CivilEngineering, Military and Police, Sport and Leisure etc.

Were looking for someone who is multi skilled but electrically bias, with a Level 3 Qualification and a background in production/ manufacturing or similar.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Working in a small team of engineers doing both planned and reactive maintenance
  • A mix of both electrical and mechanical repairs (electrical bias)
  • Maintenance of Carding machines, Lamination Machines, Fabric Cutting Machines, Non-Woven Machines, Rollers, PLCs, Pneumatic Systems, Control Panels etc
  • Fault finding
  • Aim to maximise performance and reduce production downtime
  • Monitor any malfunctioning equipment and report to site management
  • Machinery installations
  • Commissioning equipment
  • Ensure the site is operating safely at all times
  • Occasional travel to our other sites which are all locally based

Hours

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-12:45pm

Pay

Annual salary of £34,000 - £38,000, with OTE up to £45,000 per annum through overtime at time

Skills/Experience Required

  • At least 12 months electrical engineering experience
  • Experience from a production/ manufacturing/ industrial environment or similar
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 or apprentice trained or equivalent
  • A valid UK driving license
  • A good understanding of Control Systems and PLCs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An understanding of Health & Safety
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • The ability to working in a team or alone
