A leading manufacturing business are currently looking for a Calibration and Maintenance Electronics Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position with flexible hours; in the manufacturing plant.
A bonus of up to £2500 is offered (based on company performance and varies year to year)Overtime is frequently available.Key responsibilities will include:
- Service and maintain electrical/electronic test equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).
- Support manufacturing across product assembly, integration, and test stages.
- Perform routine calibrations, commissioning, drift analysis, fault finding, and repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers and support functions to resolve technical tasks.
- Work with complex test platforms for missile system manufacturing and testing.
- Calibrate and support factory test equipment (DC to Microwave).
- Participate in annual reviews for development planning.
- Contribute to teamwork, knowledge sharing, and workload management.
The Successful candidate will have:
- Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Experience and knowledge in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level.
- Able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance. Able to use this information to conduct appropriate measurements and repairs down to component level.
- Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
- Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
- Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
- A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
- Experience of working on Environmental Chambers an advantage.
