A leading manufacturing business are currently looking for a Calibration and Maintenance Electronics Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position with flexible hours; in the manufacturing plant.

A bonus of up to £2500 is offered (based on company performance and varies year to year)Overtime is frequently available.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Service and maintain electrical/electronic test equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).
  • Support manufacturing across product assembly, integration, and test stages.
  • Perform routine calibrations, commissioning, drift analysis, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and support functions to resolve technical tasks.
  • Work with complex test platforms for missile system manufacturing and testing.
  • Calibrate and support factory test equipment (DC to Microwave).
  • Participate in annual reviews for development planning.
  • Contribute to teamwork, knowledge sharing, and workload management.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience and knowledge in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level.
  • Able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance. Able to use this information to conduct appropriate measurements and repairs down to component level.
  • Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
  • Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
  • A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  • Experience of working on Environmental Chambers an advantage.
