MERITUS are working with a leading Aerospace & Defence manufacturing organisation based in Bolton They're looking for experienced Electronics Engineers to join their Calibration & Maintenance Team.

This role involves fault finding, repair, and calibration of electrical and electronic test equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). You will work within a dynamic team, supporting complex test platforms used in the manufacture and testing of high-tech systems.

They're based in Bolton & require candidates to be eligible for SC security clearance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and calibrate electrical and electronic test equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct fault finding and repairs down to component level, using technical drawings, handbooks, and specifications.
  • Support test equipment commissioning, perform drift analysis, and contribute to ongoing equipment improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives in calibration processes.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in test equipment calibration and maintenance of test systems at a component level.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of calibration principles, SAP systems, and experience with Environmental Chambers is a plus.
