Network Security Engineer

We are delighted to be working with this cutting-edge technology company in their pursuit of a Network Security Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis in Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton.

Due to the security clearance required for this role, the company is only able to accept applications from sole UK nationals.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Play a prominent role in safeguarding the organisation’s network infrastructure
• Provide robust security solutions to safeguard against threats
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement security practices
• Implement changes, identify vulnerabilities and manage security incidents

The successful candidate will have:

• Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANS)
• Experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting firewalls
• In depth knowledge of security protocols such as IPSec, SSL / TLS, VPNs and two factor authentication
• Understanding of network architectures and security zones (DMZ, internal networks)
• Proficient in monitoring technologies PRTG, Nagios
• Sole British Citizenship
