Our client, a £150m turnover construction group, are looking for an ambitious Financial Analyst to join their Finance Team in Bolton. This role is pivotal in helping the company make well-informed business decisions through thorough data analysis, focusing on financial performance and operational insights. If you enjoy building data-driven strategies and have a keen eye for detail, this role offers a dynamic environment to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain & Enhance Reporting Tools - Own and refine existing performance reports and Power BI dashboards to ensure clear and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate on New Initiatives - Work with various departments to identify gaps and improve the performance metrics available, creating custom reports and dashboards where necessary.
  • Financial Reporting Management - Update and coordinate monthly financial data in Excel, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Data Collection & Coordination - Capture and organise data across multiple internal systems, setting a strong foundation for future reporting needs.
  • Support for Leadership - Provide analytical support to the Finance Director and Finance Manager, assisting in key projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Ideal Candidate :

  • Analytical Mindset - You are naturally curious and logical, always looking to dig deeper and understand the data from all angles.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with an eye for optimising data presentation.
  • Construction Software Experience (COINS)- Familiarity with COINS or similar industry software is advantageous but not essential.
  • Accountancy Qualifications (CIMA / ACCA) - Beneficial but not essential; we're more interested in your analytical abilities and experience.
