We are delighted to be working with a fanatstic company based in Bolton who due to expansion are seeking a Finance Manager to join them.

The role of the Finance Manager is to support the Managing Director in strategic financial planning and increase its profitability and growth.

Finance Manager

You'll provide sound financial advice to enable Management to implement effective strategies and have a clearer sense of direction.

The role will combine accounting and business management skills, and you'll typically need to:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts. Including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries
  • Provide a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions.
  • Management of the full payroll process
  • Inform key strategic decisions and formulate business strategies
  • Advise on the financial implications of business decisions
  • Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts.
  • interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers
  • Day-to-day administration within accounting including sales ledger, payment of purchase invoices and expenses.
  • Completion of regulatory returns, VAT, HMRC,

You'll need to show:

  • Commercial awareness
  • High level of numeracy
  • Professionalism and commitment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • IT proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff
  • Confidence to know where your expertise ends and that of another team member begins
  • Lively and enquiring mind with a logical approach to work, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience:

  • CIMA or equivalent qualified or QBE/ part-qualified with 3-5 years of experience.
  • A backround in manufacturing would be an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
