This specialist service business works with some iconic brands across the UK providing solutions across a wide range of industries. Following a restructure to focus on core revenue streams they are embarking on a rapid growth plan and have identified the need for an ambitious Head of Finance to join the leadership team. This will be the most senior finance position within the business and will involve working closely with a driven CEO, a highly regarded chairman and passionate management team.

The ideal candidate for this role would thrive in a growth environment and relish the opportunity to act as business partner, supporting and when necessary challenging decision making with sound financial judgement. You will have real involvement in business planning and should have the credibility to contribute ideas to support the execution of their business plan. Managing a small team your key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Producing the budgets and forecasts
  • Developing scenario planning & cashflow analysis model
  • Creating robust financial controls and processes
  • Liaising with external accountants, banks and advisers
  • Ensuring compliance with invoice financing providers
  • Developing SAGE 50 to suit needs of a growing business
  • Set up of new accounting procedures, chart of accounts, ledgers etc.
  • Reviewing Management Accounts and MI
  • Overseeing payroll and all transactional activity
  • Training and developing the finance team

Applicants to this role must ideally be CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified although strong QBEs will also be considered. A key requirement will be proven experience of the ability to business partner with senior management, operating as a dynamic adviser to the board to provide a balanced view of risk and opportunity.
