This recently launched business supplies specialist services to companies across a range of sectors and is led by a highly ambitious management team. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Interim Finance Manager to join the business in a hands on role initially to set up the newco on SAGE. It is envisaged that this will be an 8-10 week project requiring an immediate start however for the right person the role could become permanent.

The role offers a unique opportunity to be supported by a proven CFO who works closely with the MD on other business interests. The position will be responsible for setting up the processes and reports required to maintain the smooth operation of the finance department. Duties will include

  • Setting up accounting modules on SAGE to include sales and purchase ledger, cash books, multi-currencies and nominal ledger etc.
  • Designing a chart of accounts to enable production of P&L, balance sheet etc.
  • Configuring SAGE to suit management reporting needs.
  • Developing trading performance reports and cashflow forecasts

Suitable candidates for this role should as a minimum be confident users of SAGE, although experience of implementing or upgrading SAGE would be preferred. You should also have a solid general accounting background as a Finance Manager or Management Accountant gained from an SME. The role is based in a pleasant, modern office environment where you will be part of a friendly and motivated team.
