Job Title: Warehouse/Goods-In Operative/FLT
Location: Bolton, UK
Hours of Work: Temporary with a view to going Permanent
Your normal working hours will be 40 hours, Monday to Friday, with a start time of 8:15 am and an end time of 5pm. Given the variable nature of your role, it is accepted that your working hours will vary on a daily basis, however you are expected to commence at the time stated by Management in accordance with the workload planner and the needs of the business and its customers. You are required to take a 45-minute unpaid lunch break per working day.
Overtime:
On occasion, you may be required to work beyond your normal hours of work in line with the business need. Overtime rates are only paid once your full weekly contracted hours have been worked. Only absence due to agreed holiday will be included in these hours. Where a business need exists, and overtime is approved in advance by your manager, it will be paid at the following rates:
Weekdays:
Any hours worked between 05h00 and Midnight which are in excess of your contractual hours will be paid at a rate of 1.4
Between Midnight and 05h00 will be paid at Double Time
25th December, 26th December and 1st January will be paid at double time Saturdays:
Between Midnight and 05h00 will be paid at Double Time
Between 0500h to midday (12 noon) will be paid at 1.5
Between midday (12 noon) and Midnight will be paid at Double Time Sundays:
All overtime on Sunday is paid at Double Time Bank Holidays: between 05h00 and Midnight will be paid at a rate of 1.4 Between Midnight and 05h00 will be paid at Double Time
Salary and Benefits: (below are the benefits on a permanent position. This is a temp - perm position.)
Depending on experience, an annual salary of up to £26,000. Paid monthly.
25 days annual leave per calendar year, plus the statutory bank holidays. Increasing with length of service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Organize and maintain inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Assist in the preparation of orders for distribution, ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Receiving and actioning Engineer and Customer returns following company processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods-in role is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment safely, with relevant certifications a plus.
- Good physical stamina and capability to lift heavy items as necessary.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Reach and Counterbalance Certificates
- A UK driving licence would be beneficial
