Time Recruitment is proud to represent an excellent opportunity for a skilled Litigated Credit Hire File Handler to join a dynamic team. This role involves investigating complex and high-stakes Credit Hire claims, valued up to £25,000, from both a tactical and strategic perspective. It is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your expertise in handling credit hire claims and contributing to the repudiation of these claims.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of DA credit hire and injury files, with oversight from your Team Leader
- Review and analyse case files throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they align with client guidelines
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships, ensuring the client remains at the heart of all decisions
- Formulate initial case strategies for approval by the Team Leader
- Conduct necessary legal research
- Negotiate with third-party solicitors over the phone
- Liaise with insured parties and insurers as required
- Ensure that all tasks are completed as per the Case Management System
- Accurately complete management information (MI) processes and process bills
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 guidelines and SRA Standards & Regulations
- Work in a target-driven environment while adhering to company values
- Draught defences, complete direction questionnaires, and manage the disclosure and exchange of evidence
- Prepare pre-trial checklists, instruct counsel, and draught CPR Part 18 and Part 35 questions
- Draught counter schedules when needed
35 hours per week, 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour for lunch
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:Essential:- Proven experience in litigation and managing Credit Hire files
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent); a degree or LPC is preferred
- Strong initiative, planning, and prioritisation skills
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to follow processes, make decisions, and remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in IT, including Word, Outlook, and experience using a Case Management System
- Previous experience handling Personal Injury claims
