Scantec are working in partnership with a fantastic FMCG Food Manufacturer in Bolton to assist them in recruiting  Multi Skilled Engineers due to huge growth and investment. Lots of career development and training available.

To provide engineering resource in carrying out Planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and reduce quality issues. To strive towards continuous improvement of all machinery, equipment and ways of working in line with business strategy. To comply with legislative, business and site procedures and practices.
 
Shifts:
Panama, 3's & 2's
Days & Nights pattern
6am-6pm / 6pm-6am

Multi Skilled Engineer - Brief summary of responsibilities:

  • Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment
  • Planned maintenance and Maintenance requests.
  • Adherence to statutory checks
  • Adherence to GMP
  • Involvement in CI and Capital projects
  • Upkeep of stores, booking out of stock items
  • Upkeep of all Engineering Technical documentation.
  • Support and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance
  • To undertake training and up skilling programs as directed by business needs.
  • Provide effective 24/7 equipment care
  • Deliver effective communication at Cell reviews Engineering meetings ‘Midnight mass’ Engineering Handovers
  • Make decisions within the framework of site policies and compliance to customer codes of practice.

Required skills, knowledge & experience:
Ideally you'll hold a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (electrical, Mechanical or Multi skilled). Onc or Btec equivalent HNC (desirable).
