Are you a Parts Advisor looking to work for an industry leader in manufacturing and retail who has branches across the UK? You will be based in the Bolton Head Office.  Your main function will be building and developing relationships, selling, promoting company products and service portfolio, assisting in the growth of the department and business. The hours 37.5 per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm and Friday 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. Salary is £26,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience. 

Parts Advisor Duties:  

  • Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients using desk-based selling techniques. 
  • Process orders by phone, web and email, expedite/ progress orders through to despatch. 
  • Place orders in the correct manner ensuring payment is taken correctly.  
  • Process orders and ensure that all orders are dispatched with 100% accuracy and invoiced within the agreed delivery framework. 
  • Proactively sell and generate quality sales leads for field sales colleagues (i.e. selling offers/promotions). 
  • Make outbound sales prospecting calls and develop all sales opportunities, conduct market research as required. 
  • Update all in-house systems as per company protocol. 
  • Deal with incoming sales calls with customer/ potential customer requests for information. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, including prompt dealing with customer complaints or concerns. 
  • Work closely with the Purchasing and Production Departments to ensure that stock is at suitable levels and liaise with all other departments to ensure orders are fulfilled within the required timeframe. 
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of company products and service portfolio. 
  • Work to company, team and group targets. 
  • Perform any other duties deemed reasonable on request. 

Parts Advisor Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have worked in a similar technical role with an understanding of sales in with a Parts/ Engineering or Manufacturing background. 
  • You will have a good communication skillset, both written and verbal, be able to build relationships, understanding of working in fast paced environments with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change. 
  • Team player, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning and can work collaboratively. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong data entry skillset, be numerate and can work with accuracy.   Required ability to work to deadlines and targets. 
  • Must computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and Word and Outlook.
