Job Summary:

Bolton Council is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their well-being and dignity are maintained at all times.

Qualifications and Experience Essential:

  • Valid Medication Administration Certificate.
  • 6 Months Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or similar setting in the UK.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices in care provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Administer medication and monitor residents' health, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and residents' progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and Bolton Council policies.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications and Experience Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • First Aid, PEG Feed and PMVA training.
