Job Title: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Bolton Council, Greater Manchester
Hourly Pay rate: £12.25 - £13.76
Job Summary:
Bolton Council is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their well-being and dignity are maintained at all times.
Qualifications and Experience Essential:
- Valid Medication Administration Certificate.
- 6 Months Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or similar setting in the UK.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices in care provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Administer medication and monitor residents' health, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and residents' progress.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and Bolton Council policies.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, promoting their independence and quality of life.
Qualifications and Experience Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- First Aid, PEG Feed and PMVA training.
