About the role:

Our client is seeking a highly organized HR Advisorto manage key HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and absence management. You will provide HR guidance, oversee onboarding/offboarding, ensure policy compliance, and handle disciplinary actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Advisory: Provide HR support across departments, advising on employment matters and day-to-day HR issues.
  • Recruitment: Assist in attracting the right candidates by liaising with agencies, advertising roles, and screening applications.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Support payroll processing, salary documentation, and absence-related deductions.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Assist with employee inductions, transfers, maternity/paternity returns, and probation reviews.
  • Absence Management: Conduct return-to-work meetings, monitor sickness absence, and liaise with Occupational Health.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support for disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and family-friendly policies.

What we are looking for:

  • Solid HR Generalist experience within the utilities or construction sector.
  • CIPD qualification or currently studying towards.
  • Willingness to travel to site depots including Cumbria, Midlands, Northeast and Yorkshire.
