ACR is working with a global, market-leading business based in Westhoughton, Bolton. We are recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join on a full-time, permanent basis. This opportunity offers flexible working hours, hybrid working, free parking, and the chance to work in a close-knit, supportive HR team with real scope for impact.This is a newly created role, reporting to the Head of HR and supporting the broader business across a wide range of employee relations matters. You'll be responsible for managing a live ER caseload from end to end, supporting line managers on issues including conduct, performance, absence and capability.You'll also play a part in delivering HR initiatives such as training, appraisals, and policy development. There's a great deal of autonomy here, so we're looking for someone confident in their ER knowledge and able to take ownership of their workload, while also contributing to broader team objectives.Salary & Benefits

  • Salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

What will be expected of you:

  • Manage a live and varied ER caseload from start to finish
  • Advise and support managers on performance, conduct, absence, and capability
  • Handle grievances and employee complaints as needed, ensuring fair resolution
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ER policies and procedures
  • Lead or support the annual appraisal process and ensure all staff have clear Personal Development Plans
  • Monitor and report on employee relations trends to identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to training sessions on key ER topics for managers and staff
  • Maintain compliance with employment law and internal HR procedures
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective communication and engagement
  • Support a growing HR function in a practical, solutions-focused environment

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations procedures and employment law
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)
  • Positive, resilient, and confident communicator
  • Able to work independently and handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • Industry experience working with engineers or similar workforces is a bonus, not essential
