I am currently working with a well-known, successful, and growing UK-wide organisation to recruit for an exciting opportunity in Desktop Support. Based at their offices in Bolton, this role offers the chance to join a dynamic IT team and contribute to the organisation’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line support to end-users, resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Ensure all incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Support and maintain mobile devices and remote access technologies.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assist in setting up new user accounts, workstations, and IT equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and IT security standards.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a Desktop Support or similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist users at all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
