I am currently working with a well-known, successful, and growing UK-wide organisation to recruit for an exciting opportunity in Desktop Support. Based at their offices in Bolton, this role offers the chance to join a dynamic IT team and contribute to the organisation’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-line support to end-users, resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Ensure all incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved within agreed service levels.
- Support and maintain mobile devices and remote access technologies.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Assist in setting up new user accounts, workstations, and IT equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and IT security standards.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a Desktop Support or similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist users at all levels.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
