My client is a dynamic and growing business in Bolton, committed to leveraging technology to drive business success. They are currently seeking a talented and experienced IT Manager to join their team and lead the IT department.

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IT infrastructure and operations. This includes managing the IT team of 5, ensuring the security and reliability of the systems, and supporting the technological needs of the business. You will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic IT initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead the IT team, providing guidance, training, and support
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and efficiency of our systems
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software applications
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts
  • Ensure the timely resolution of technical issues and provide ongoing support to all departments
  • Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and security
  • Experience with cloud computing, virtualisation, and IT project management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
