We're now looking for a passionate Telesales Team Leader to join our sales team in Bolton.



About the Role

As the Telesales Team Leader, you'll be taking on an exciting, dynamic role where your leadership and communication skills will shine.

You'll use your extensive experience in verbal and written communication with customers, along with strong team leadership abilities to coach and guide our Telesales team, supporting them in achieving their targets and handling escalations.

You'll also be responsible for booking effective appointments for the New Business team from both inbound and outbound enquiries, ensuring potential customers are matched with the most relevant Whistl services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of telesales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets, fostering a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and motivation.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies and training programs to enhance team performance, monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and support to drive success.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively utilise the relevant software (e.g. CRM systems) to maintain accurate and up-to-date records and provide related reports as required.
  • Collaborate with management to develop sales goals and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Additional Information

Our Telesales Team leader can earn up to an additional 40% of their basic monthly salary.



Essential Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences, with proven ability to influence colleagues and stakeholders while building relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
  • Skilled in prioritising and coordinating multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve targets
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills to interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Knowledge of the postal and parcel industry and market sectors and familiarity with Whistl products and services
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft CRM
  • Valid UK driving licence
