Job title: Industrial Validation Engineer - Procurement & Supply Chain
Salary: Circa £38,000 depending on experience
Location: Bolton or Stevenage
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

The opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen in an expanding team that is responsible for technical validation of the external supply chain to ensure successful delivery of parts required for full rate Production.
This opportunity requires an individual who has experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Project delivery.
The Role:
- Assess & validate suppliers capability to meet MBDA requirements.
- Support suppliers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans, to enable the capability to deliver on-quality, on-time and on-cost in series production.
- Undertake Industrial Validation activities such as: Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.
- Handling a portfolio of suppliers on a day to day basis across multiple projects.
- Proactively identify & communicate manufacturing & supply chain risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans.
- Manage & validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in house to supplier.
- Track & report validation status to senior Industrial Engineers, management and wider stakeholders.
What we're looking for from you:
- A Manufacturing Engineering biased professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Experience of manufacturing & New Product Introduction (NPI) in Aerospace or Defence is desirable.
- Proficient in Industrial Validation tools such as: Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews.
- Practitioner of problem solving and improvement toolsets
- Strong analytical skills; ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM system, and document management tools
- Excellent communication skills, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organisations.
- Ability to travel and work in a team environment
