What will you be doing as a Claims Handler:Working as part of a team, you will deal with a mixture of commercial and personal lines insurance claims. Duties include:
- Reviewing and assessing insurance claims across different products to determine coverage and liability
- Acknowledging all new claims to both clients and insurers and keeping clients updated
- Investigating and gathering evidence to support claims decisions
- Negotiating with claimants, insurers and others to reach settlements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities
- Mentoring and providing guidance to other claims handlers
- Preparing claims reports to be presented by Account Executives on larger cases
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Strong experience in claims handling, ideally in a similar commercial Claims Handler role
- Exceptional customer care skills
- Confident with excellent negotiation skills
- Very strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Team player
