We are looking to recruit an experienced Income Officer for Our clients established team based on the outskirts of Bolton.

You will be joining a high performing team responsible for maximising rent and service charge income collection. You will be expected to provide a high quality, customer focused income collection service, providing support & advice in order to assist customers to be able to pay their rent & to sustain their tenancies.

Income Officer Key Duties Include:

  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding their rent accounts using all contact methods (phone, e mail, text, letter, office interviews).
  • Account and statement reconciliations and resolving miss allocations.
  • Manage rent arrears cases and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external organisations to support tenancy sustainment.
  • Providing financial and welfare advice benefits advice to customers.
  • Prepare cases for court where necessary.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is organised and happy to work on their own initiative.
  • Is performance focused and able to meet targets.
  • Ideally has experience of income collection & arrears management.
  • Ideally has a good working knowledge of welfare benefits.
  • Has excellent communication & negotiation skills.
  • Has experience of working with partners, stakeholders and customers with positive outcomes.
