To support the team with delivery of their caseloads, completing delegated tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Accountabilities

Updating the case management system, client and other parties on allocation to a file handler- Updating and maintaining an accurate log of allocations · Drafting basic Court documents• Diarising Court Orders• Booking Counsel for assessment hearings or as required· Procedural drafting (at basic level, common steps)· Settlement negotiations· Negotiation with third party re: extensions/further information· Drafting of appropriate settlement information· Review of incoming Part 36 Offers/other settlement proposals• Requesting extensions for PODs, when requested• Drafting basic court documents e.g. AOS and Notice of Change• Filing and serving Court documents• Sending out cheques for damages and costs· Interlocutory applications (basic)· Part 18 Requests for Information (pro forma)· Drafting N260· Preparing outcome reports once the case has concluded

Essential Skills and Attributes:Essential• English & Maths GCSE grade A to C/Level 5 or equivalent• IT literate (Microsoft Office)• Organisational skills particularly the ability to prioritise and multi task• Interpersonal skills• Oral communication• Customer services skills• Ability to work as part of a team• Ability to work independently• Ability to take initiative• Attention to detail• An understanding of client needs/requirements• Basic knowledge of litigation and costs process

Desirable• Experience in a legal environment• Previous use of a case management system

Compensation package
