As a Manufacturing Engineer, your focus will be on ensuring that all products are built efficiently and within budget.THE ROLE:Some of your responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Resolve technical issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
  • Design, commissioning and testing of associated tooling.
  • Writing and updating manufacturing instructions.
  • You will carry out activities in support of multi-project manufacturing.
  • Management of Configuration Control.
  • Support the industrial validation process through the use of FMEAs, FAIs etc.
  • Route card changes as a result or rework activities.
  • Support to the Non Conformance Process using SAP.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will need to have to experience of manufacturing electronic sub-assemblies through to system level builds.
  • Identify, understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Ability to interpret design drawings with a view to producing manufacturing build instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operators.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems.
  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21.
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate.
  • Have communication skills both within the work group and at different levels of the organisation.
  • Manual handling training and ESD training.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Planning System e.g. SAP.
  • For this role, you will need to obtain the required medical and national security clearances.
