The Assets and Facilities Engineer is tasked with establishing and embedding a robust management system for the upkeep of physical assets and facilities.
The engineer's role will ensure that buildings, facilities, and production assets are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations, all while minimizing costs and complexities.
Key responsibilities include developing asset management strategies and schedules for inspection and maintenance, as well as ensuring thorough documentation and handover processes to the operational team.
In addition to asset management, the engineer will oversee facilities management, which encompasses the maintenance and improvement of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
This includes coordinating essential facility services such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety measures. The role also involves implementing strategies for waste management and energy efficiency, with a focus on optimizing energy consumption and reducing environmental impact.
