Marketing Assistant - Creative & Content

This role is based in Bolton with hybrid home working

The is an excellent opportunity for a highly Creative and Content Marketing Assistant who is looking to build their career in marketing with a highly reputable company.

As a Creative and Content Marketing Assistant, the successful candidates will demonstrate experience of working in a fast-paced marketing role with a genuine interest in building a career in a creative and content marketing role to become a specialist with further training and career development.

Working in the marketing department, you will be part of a team of nine where you will be responsible for updating regular marketing content in line with service level agreements.

by generating innovative ideas for content and liaising with your marketing colleagues, sales teams and external resources including graphic designers and PR companies.

You will be creating and updating operational documents and supporting the maintenance of a suite of websites across the group and have exceptional writing skills, be highly creative to write LinkedIn posts, with the ability to proof read documents, identify errors whilst also managing your own workload and meet deadlines.

Candidate Skills

  • You will have a proficient level of education BTEC professional diplomas / NVQ 4 / HND / Degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Public Relations, Digital Media
  • Experience of working in a sales and marketing environment
  • Website skills and knowledge
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and internet skills
  • Ability to manage data
  • Any knowledge of WordPress or Webflow or Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, or Illustrator would be advantageous
  • Excellent written communication skills, written and spoken
  • Ability to coordinate information from various sources and good analytical skills
  • Strong diligence with an ability to spot and correct errors
  • Ability to prioritise your workload with excellent proof-reading skills
  • Good team player, flexible and able to learn quickly

Duties

  • You will contribute to the content calendar and ensure a steady flow of fresh, relevant content across all channels.
  • Assist in creating engaging and audience-specific content and contribute to the production of collateral such as manager commentaries, information documents, Q&A’s, and brochures on a regular basis
  • Suggest growth strategies for our email campaigns
  • Daily sales analysis, monthly performance, and asset reporting
  • Proof-read data and marketing materials abiding by brand guidelines
  • Update websites including the uploading of fact sheets, manager commentaries, prices, and documents
  • Review websites on a regular basis to ensure that content is accurate and up to date
  • Support the planning and analysis of marketing campaigns including database segmentation, drip campaigns, A/B testing and MI reporting
  • Record and updating marketing activity to measure results of campaigns (ROI)
  • Continually review systems, processes, and data sources with a view to improving output and/or increasing efficiency
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on key strategic projects and communicate effectively with the wider business.
