Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of bespoke heating equipment based in the Bolton area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their close-knit engineering team.
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview
- Creating manufacturing drawings using Solidworks 3D modelling software
- Updating manufacturing data, bill of materials and production plans
- Calculating the cost of manufacturing for quotations
- Liaising with customers
- Carrying out new product development
- Assisting with continuous improvements projects
- Identifying new suppliers of parts and materials
- Providing technical & design engineering support to the sales teams
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
- 3+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role
- Degree / HND / Apprenticeship qualified within a Mechanical or Design Engineering subject
- Based in a commutable distance of Bolton
- Experience working within a project-based environment
- Proficient with Solidworks 3D modelling software
- Good communication skills
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration
- Salary £33,000 - £37,000 - depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00. Friday 07:30 - 12:50. Permanent position.
