We are seeking a Technical Engineering Director to join a dynamic team and lead the way in reshaping their manufacturing processes. With a strong foundation in world-class manufacturing-ideally in the aerospace or automotive sector-you'll bring a strategic vision, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Develop and implement strategies and processes that enable the manufacturing teams to execute with precision and efficiency.
  • Be accountable for Quality, Health & Safety, and audit processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving improvements.
  • Lead the adoption of Lean methodologies to optimise operations, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Inspire, coach, and mentor a talented team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
  • Use your expertise to identify new methodologies, tools, and techniques that can improve efficiencies and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Own and drive improvement initiatives across Quality and Health & Safety systems.

Profile:

  • A world-class manufacturing background, ideally within the aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • A solid engineering background, with a degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Proven experience owning and delivering on Quality and Health & Safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • A passion for leading, coaching, and mentoring teams, inspiring them to achieve their full potential and adopt innovative ways of working.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams at all levels.
  • A results-driven mindset with a track record of delivering measurable business improvements.
