Salary: 130.00 - 190.00

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Bolton. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role requires a Teacher who is adaptable, empathetic, and dedicated to providing the best outcomes for each child in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons as a Teacher, ensuring that each student's individual needs are met.
• Work closely with support staff to provide tailored interventions and one-to-one support to students with SEN.
• As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment that supports students' emotional, social, and academic development.
• Regularly monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to help students achieve their potential and improve their outcomes.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, working collaboratively as a Teacher to ensure a holistic approach to support.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and SEMH needs.
• Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring access to the curriculum.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• A patient, empathetic approach to working with children with SEN, with a genuine passion for making a difference as a Teacher.

Desirable:

• Experience working in a specialist SEN setting or with students who have complex needs.
• Knowledge of a range of SEN strategies, including communication tools, sensory activities, and behaviour management techniques.
• Familiarity with using assistive technology to support students with SEN in their learning.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills as a Teacher.
• Experience working with other professionals, such as SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies, to support the development of students.
