Administrator - SEND Assessment Team - Bolton Council

Bolton Council are looking for a dedicated Administrator to support the SEND Assessment Service in fulfilling its statutory duties effectively and efficiently. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the service and requires a proactive individual who can work at pace, managing a variety of tasks and communicating effectively with various stakeholders.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage the administration of the EHC Needs Assessment Process
  • Provide updates on the EHC Needs Assessment process and the Annual Review process to users of the SEND Assessment Service. Relevant training provided.
  • Work effectively with team members to support and improve the work of the team.
  • Plan, organise, and develop work to meet specified requirements and deadlines. This is an essential part of the role, you will be working to strict statutory deadlines.
  • Record, store, and supply information accurately.
  • Communicate information to relevant agencies using systems available.
  • Support and maintain the use of information systems including databases.
  • Design, create, and produce documents from various sources to specified deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain documents for storage and archiving following Service and Council guidelines.
  • Manage mail/email inboxes, including ordering and distributing specified goods and services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and respond appropriately to the needs of colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work at pace to meet essential deadlines.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Competency in inputting, searching, storing, retrieving, and supplying information from a variety of sources.
  • Proficiency in producing documents using a range of software.
  • Awareness/Knowledge of GDPR
  • Experience using a range of computer software packages.
