Monarch Education is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Bolton to recruit a Design and Technology Teacher specializing in Art and Photography. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join our client school's dedicated team. As an Art and Photography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inspiring lessons to students aged 11-16, aligning with the National Curriculum for Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will work closely within a collaborative faculty that emphasizes academic excellence and the individual progress of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in Art and Photography to students across Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress, set achievable targets, and maintain accurate records of student work.
  • Provide support and intervention for students who may be struggling, helping them close the attainment gap.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay current with curriculum developments and educational research, integrating best practices into teaching and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • You will be a qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS.
  • Hold a degree in Art, Design, or a related subject (or significant experience teaching Art/Photography).
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Experienced in teaching the National Curriculum for Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4, specifically in Art and Photography.
  • Confident in utilizing a range of assessment strategies to inform and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Committed to promoting a positive ethos and serving as a positive role model for students.
  • A team player with a supportive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities and contribute actively to the school's improvement agenda.
