Compass Corporate Services are proud to be partnering with the UK’s leading provider of specialist education services, in the search for a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst. This newly created position brings previously outsourced market analysis in-house, supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans within the education sector, particularly focusing on special needs units. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic investment decisions by providing comprehensive market insights and analysis.

The Role

As Senior Market Intelligence Analyst, you will focus on analysing key market segments, including special needs and further education sectors, while providing actionable insights to guide senior leadership in making informed investment decisions. You will work directly with the Business Intelligence, Finance, and Executive teams to ensure data-driven strategies that align with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough market research on new segments, demographics, and emerging trends.
  • Leading market analysis for key projects and assessing opportunities across different geographies.
  • Collaborating with the BI teams to build robust datasets and reports, including insights from Ofsted data and other relevant sources.
  • Advising senior leadership on strategic market opportunities and risks.
  • Evaluating vendor practices and proposing internal solutions for customised market insights.

Location

This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility to work from home, with a requirement of 2 days per week in the Bolton Head Office. Candidates within commutable distance of Bolton are encouraged to apply.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in market analysis or research, ideally within the education or special needs sector.
  • Strong proficiency in market analysis tools, business intelligence platforms, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams and influencing decision-making processes.
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets and generate actionable insights that align with strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on translating data into clear, strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with FP&A and BI functions.

The Candidate

  • Must hold a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with senior executives.
  • Confident in presenting market insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including the CEO.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Interview Process

This is a 2-stage interview process. The 1st stage will be a competency-based interview, and 2nd stage a general discussion, both held via Teams.
