My client is a not-for-profit organisation that support people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, and older people, including those with dementia by offering a number of services.
You will be responsible for helping to shape and implement an exciting new phase of communications delivery for the organisation. Working directly with the MD, you will help create a communications strategy that will position organisation as a sector-leading, growth-ready, innovative care company, one that is making a difference daily to the people it supports through the work of its dedicated colleagues.
The organisation works to a 'Thrive’ Model, where they embrace Teamwork, Honesty, Respect and Dignity, Innovation, Values Pledge and Empowerment, you will work collaboratively across all their services to ensure the organisations communications are clear, on brand and impactful.
You will also actively work to assist in the writing and amplification of this messaging and will take point in recruiting an additional communications team member, initially to service the communications function, with potential scope to further grow the team as the company achieves growth over time.
You will manage the company’s communications budget and be responsible for:
- Communications strategy
- Internal and external communications
- Brand development and amplification
- Creative content development, management and delivery across all channels including website, newsletters and social media
- Media relations including local/regional/national trade press
- Recruiting and line managing one new team member initially
