Job title: General operator
Location: Bolton
Contract Length: 12-month
Salary: 17.80 rising to 18.80 PAYE after 13 weeks
SRG are working with a UK defence company to hire a general operator for a site based in Bolton, UK. As a general operator, you'd be responsible for carrying out assembly and manufacturing procedures, working to all quality standards and safety procedures.
This role would be perfect for someone with experience in defence or electronic manufacturing, or any experience with soldering under a microscope. As this role is within the defence industry, the successful candidate will have to be a British National.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Carry out detailed standard assembly / manufacturing activities, undertaking all work to requisite procedures, quality standards, safety requirements and timescales.
- Contribute to the efficient movement of work and information in the manufacturing area.
- Adhere in all activities to agreed standards and behaviours.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements.
- IPC 610 certified / trained preferred.
Candidate Requirements:
- British national
- Experience working with Microelectronics
- Must have experience in soldering under a microscope
- Must have experience working within a manufacturing environment
- PC literate
- Attention to detail
