The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer with a focus on circuit card electronic testing to join our dynamic Test Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to challenging and rewarding projects, from concept design to series production and full in-service support.
In this role, you will create and maintain small to medium-sized automated test systems, develop and implement test strategies, and design test adaptors (both mechanical and electrical). Additionally, you will be involved in software development for automated test sequences and play a key role in continuous improvement activities and developing new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and use technical documentation such as schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Develop and implement automated test equipment for circuit card testing.
- Design Interchangeable Test Adaptors, including both mechanical and electrical elements.
- Develop software for automated test sequences in line with test specifications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of new technologies.
Location: Bolton (Relocation package available)
Salary: Circa 40,000 (depending on experience)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site)
What We're Looking For:
- Significant experience in creating and using technical documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Proven experience in creating automated test equipment.
- Experience with NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Boundary Scan / XJtag (preferred).
